Best Paper Award
The best paper from the conference is selected by the conference co-chairs. The author(s) will be given the best paper award at the conference. This paper will be included in the special issue of the International Journal of Service Industry Management, IJSIM with selected papers from the SERVSIG research conference 2005.
If you would like your paper to be considered for the best paper award and for publication in the special issue of the IJSIM, could you please submit your full paper latest by 15 May 2005.
The International Journal of Service Industry Management (IJSIM) will publish a special edition based on papers presented at the conference in 2006, Issue No. 2. Shaukat Brah and Jochen Wirtz will serve as guest editors for this special issue. All papers submitted for the best paper award will automatically also be considered for publication in this special issue. The papers would be subjected to the usual double-blind review process. Please submit the papers online through our conference system by using the same log in pass word and ID you used when you first registered to submit your abstracts. Please use the IJSIM style sheet for your manuscript (see style sheet on the last pages of any of issue of IJSIM).
Finally, the conference proceedings will only publish abstracts so that you can still publish your papers in other outlets after the conference. If you do not want your paper be considered for the best paper award and for publication in the special edition of the IJSIM, your abstract is sufficient, and you do NOT have to submit a full paper.

About Asian Civilisations Museum
The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) is the first museum in the region to present a broad yet integrated perspective of pan-Asian cultures and civilisations. As one of the National Museums of Singapore under the National Heritage Board, we seek to promote a better appreciation of the rich cultures that makeup Singapore’s multi-ethnic society.
While Singapore’s forefathers came to settle in Singapore from many parts of Asia within the last 200 years, the cultures brought to Singapore by these different people are far more ancient. This aspect of Singapore’s history is the focus of the ACM. The Museum’s collection therefore centres on the material cultures of the different groups originating from China, Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia. The collections of the ACM are housed in two national monuments at the Empress Place Building and the old Tao Nan school building at Armenian Street.
